Words Are My Business … Nothing Personal

I've been writing for a living most of my adult life and this is the first time I have ever crafted words for myself - well, unless I count the countless resumes and RFQ's completed over the years.

So, here I am, in the middle of my 67th summer, reflecting on what words I should craft that would accurately reflect me -- as I am, or as I was, or as I once wished to be -- but not as a contender for a contract, not as a freelancer looking or a gig.  And why do I even want to float these words about myself out on the cyber ocean?  No money in it.  Oh, geez!  Can't believe I said that. That's my old man talking.  "Never do anything that won't earn you a dollar," was his life philosophy.

More about my Pops at a later date.  What I want to do now is say some things about my own life philosophy and comment on some of the lessons I've learned and am still learning  ... can't stop just because I'm drawing Social Insecurity.

I'm going to consider these pages like Tuesday at Shenanigans.  Tuesday is dollar draft day and several of us old pilots -- I've been a private pilot for about 20-years -- get together to down a couple and talk and argue about aging, women, politics, trade, women, grown children, cars, airplanes, and women.

I may also toss in comments from my cronies as well, plus some of the better "Blonde Jokes" I've collected and a word or three about our current state of lunacy.

If, then, you want to read the ramblings of an old fart who should know better, but never learned that lesson, pick a topic and peruse at your pleasure.

And if you don't like what you're reading, check back in a day or so, I'll have either changed my mind or written something that'll make you madder.
